MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANICS

The Motor Vehicle Mechanics (MVM) and Motor Vehicle Electrician (MVE) course at St. Charles Lwanga Vocational Training Institute provides students with comprehensive training in vehicle maintenance,electrician and repair. ELECTRICAL FITTER AND WIREMAN

The Electrical Fitter and Wireman course at St. Charles Lwanga Vocational Training Institute trains students in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. FOOD PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY

The Food Processing Technology (FPT) course at St. Charles Lwanga Vocational Training Institute specialized training in Teaching ServiceHousekeepingFront Office, and Hot Kitchen, offers students a well-rounded education in hospitality and food services. This comprehensive program equips learners with skills in food production, kitchen operations, guest services, and front office management. Students receive hands-on training in meal preparation, housekeeping techniques, customer service, and hotel front desk operations, ensuring they are ready for diverse careers in hotels, restaurants, and the wider hospitality industry. HANDICRAFT

Handicraft is a short course at St. Charles Lwanga Vocational Training Institute providing students with creative and practical skills in crafting a variety of handmade products. The program covers techniques in weaving, beadwork, embroidery, and other traditional and modern craft-making skills. Through hands-on workshops, students learn to design and produce unique artisanal items, fostering both creativity and entrepreneurial skills. ICT

ICT is a short Course at St. Charles Lwanga Vocational Training Institute that offers essential training in information and communication technology skills for today’s digital world. This program covers key topics such as computer fundamentals, internet usage and  software applications. Designed for beginners and those looking to enhance their digital skills, the course combines theoretical knowledge with practical exercises to ensure students are equipped for various roles in the technology sector.

STUDENTS CHECKLIST

DOCUMENTATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  1. Copy of Birth certificate
  2. Copy of national ID
  3. Copy of guardians ID if trainee is a minor (under 18 years)
  4. Copy of KCPE/KCSE certificate(compulsory for catering students)
  5. 3 Passport size photos

All students are expected to cover 3 months of field attachment/practice at the end of their class learning.

All students must sit for all internal assessments and an external exam at the end of their training.

KNEC exams for the food processing and Technology students are held annually in the month of November while NITA exams are done in April ,August and December.
